The V-lok kit adds the ability to power the unit using a Pag battery, mounted onto a v-lok plate on the back of the cage

The dual built in high speed UHS-II recorders use commonly available SD cards to record HD and Ultra HD video as professional 10-bit 4:2:2 ProRes or DNxHD files. Unlike DSLRs, which record heavily compressed files that are hard to use with video software, Video Assist records professional, 10 bit broadcast quality files such as ProRes and DNxHR that are compatible with all leading video software so you can start editing immediately, without time wasting file conversions.

The new firmware 2.2 update lets customers save DNxHD and DNxHR files in MXF containers which improves compatibility with Avid systems running on Windows and removes dependencies on the .mov file format. In addition, customers can now choose between DNxHD 220, 145 and 45 bit rates, or between DNxHR HQ, SQ and LB formats when recording. In addition, Video Assist 2.2 update also expands the options for focus assist so customers can now choose whether they want to see red, green, blue, black, white or traditional focus peaking indicators. With the latest 2.3 firmware you can install up to 6 different 3D LUTs so you can dial in a look in post and save it as a LUT file onto the monitor so you can view how you final grade will look while you shoot.

This unit has great audio capability and offers Phantom power -48v over XLR for attaching two microphones. You can adjust levels for each mic and monitor the signals on headphones or record embedded audio from the video input. There are plenty of screw holes to mount a radio mic or a shock mount to the top and to mount brackets to mount the monitor on your rig.

To help you to connect your audio gear to the monitor, we offer a XLR to mini-XLR cable, or a mini jack to mini-XLR cable for Sennheiser radio mics.
